YahooSeeker indexing our site....even though we're banned from index

is this a sign of good things to come?

I just noticed tonight that YahooSeeker is quickly indexing all of our product pages (couple thousand).

For 3 years I have never been able to get our site listed in the Yahoo index - and just a couple weeks ago found out from Yahoo that we were penalized (generic email saying to check guidlines) even though all guidline requirements have been met.... ANYWAY....

I got Very excited when I saw Yahoo going through our whole site (instead of just the robots.txt file)! Then I did a quick search for "YahooSeeker" and found out it is for their Products search (Google Froogle equiv.).

I'm curious if YahooSeeker indexing our site is any indication that Yahoo! may be next (indexing our site that is).

Thoughts?

Well hmmmmmm. Today I noticed slurp actually requested one of our pages. Normally it only grabs our robots.txt file and leaves. Should I be excited? Please tell me yes ;-) [wishful thinking]

Nope. Slurp has visited my site regularly, but today was told that my site still is not going to be indexed for reasons unstated.

sigh

I was told my site was banned and to check the guidelines also. Two weeks after the Yahoo bot came through I was indexed and in Yahoo. Not sure what happened. They said they manually reviewed my site and it did not meet their guidelines. Go figure.

I'm not trying to get your hopes up, just sharing what happened to me. Hopefully you will get in soon. They don't send the amount of traffic that G does, but they still send a good deal.
