Since yesterday, when checking backlinks; Yahoo returns this message to me:

Oops!

We ran into a temporary problem while performing your search. Please try your search again.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

If you used some automated tools then it will show this message after some 200 pages of 100 results each are drawn from the database. This message also appears when I am manually checking backlinks for some 2 hours continuously.

It is working for me but the backlinks just aren't there. It is showing 1 for a site that has hundreds and two for a site that has thousands. It claims that Yahoo has only 30,000 and it timed out when checking Google's.

My only problem with Yahoo backlinks is that it reports links that do not exist!

Six months ago I removed a bunch of links, but Yahoo still reports them, even after the pages have been crawled several times and re-indexed.

When exactly will Yahoo ditch all of these bad backlinks that no longer exist?

It claims that Yahoo has only 30,000 and it timed out when checking Google's.

Try the linksite command! That works really well, and also shows you the links to all pages of your site, not just the index. For example, "linksite:www.yahoo.com"
Results 1-20 of about 15,900,000.... Search took 0.2 seconds.
