Is yahoo still relying on some google results?

Hi,

I just wanted to get confirmation on whether search.yahoo.com still relies on google in some way.

I recently submitted a page to Google for an extremely obscure search term, and after appearing in google search results the same page almost instantly appeared in search.yahoo.com (for the same search term).

Can anybody confirm this?

Thanks
V

Yes it does.

For my website, Yahoo has only visited a couple thousands times, but if I do site:www.domain.org filetype:html then it comes up with 60,000 pages. The filetype part was key.

Hmm, I just tried this and it doesn't seem like Yahoo supports filetype anymore.

On the other hand, don't count on getting any serious traffic this way. Yahoo must be strongly discounting the pages from Google in the SERPs - they are only used as a last resort.
