Hello Everyone,

The last 4 weeks have been strange, someone will click through on a keyword and arrive at the right page for the keyword, but when I do a search on that keyword I don't find my site anywhere and I will sometimes do the search within minutes of that person landing on my page. This is happening with more than one keyword. The funny thing is that in the same day I could get someone clicking through on the same keyword and again when I do a search the same thing happens. This has only happened with Yahoo.

Has this happened to anyone before or can someone explain what is happening?

Hi
Is your site new?
My site is being indexed since week back,
and my site is sort of splitted on 2 data centers,
my homepage is in maybe half an hour then they seems to switch database and my homepage is out, but others diferents pages are in.

chabbs - I've noticed this too. Even pasting the exact referrer from the logs brings nothing. I'm wondering if Yahoo has different data centers a la google.

We sometimes ind the same thing occurring. My theory,
Old Google cache on the searcher's PC.

helenp - no my site is not new.

ExpLarry - I've never considered different data centers. I'm in Canada and when I type in the url Google.com it automaticlly forwards me to Google.ca. I'm not sure if the results for .com and .ca are the same, but this is what may be happening for yahoo. Instead of giving me .com results it's giving me .ca results because of my ip address.

Same thing happens with our sites sometimes, just need to clear your cookies and research.
