I'm just wondering how yahoo determines if my site belongs to a particular country's domain.

For example I have a site that ranks pretty well in yahoo.com. Lets call it --> example.com

The word 'Singapore' is mentioned serveral times in each page but these pages cannot be found in yahoo.com.sg at all.

This is pretty important because my site sells stuff that is pretty country specific.

Any ideas on how to get pages listed in country specific searched without registering the site as example.com.sg?

Two basic things that may help:
1) get a .sg domain
2) get inbound links to your site from singapore related sites

Second will work with some effort and time.

Submit it through the free add url on any property that offers it.

tim, i think thats for the search and not the directory. I think they were talking about directory listings.
