Best way to get into Yahoo?

Great Google SERPS, where's Y?

My site regularly appears in Top10 for many of my keyphrases, but is nowhere to be seen in Yahoo. Tried the "url:http://mysite.com" command, no match comes up.

Plenty of inbound links to the site, so not sure why Y hasn't followed them in.

What's the best strategy to entice Yahoo as quickly as possible? Is the 300 dollar express service worth it, if you only get into the directory (not the organic SERPS)?

The 300 dollar express is not worth it if it's not a category most people use or a category with 100000s other links. So I suggest that you wait it out, but if you have all those links pointing to you and you are not in their it could be a penalty.

Are you sure Yahoo hasn't already found you but just isn't including you? use the site tool (e.g. site:xyz.com) to see if you've been picked up or not. if you have, try searching for just the xys of your domain - www.xyz.com. Is it there? A lot of ppl have found that they've been picked up but are not being included in the SERPs, which is why I point it out.

Nope, not in there using any of those searches. My site is a subdomain of a hugely popular site, which is also not in there. When I do a search on "www.thatsite.com", loads of results come up of pages that contain links to that site!

Really very odd. I assume that if my site is not in there at all, there is no chance of a penalty? Not that I'm worried about a penalty, as there is nothing that could trigger one.

Given complete absence of appearance, makes me think that express service is worth it!

The express service is a complete waste! You have to pay 300 a year just to stay in their and you may not even get accepted by them! So how can you say it's worth it?

Lose control?!? At the moment, I'm not even in the SERPS, how can I lose control?! As to the 300 bucks, well worth it if I start to get Y! traffic...

That's a big IF though, but it's your money so do whatever you like with it.

I would work on getting links to your site. If you can spare $300, use it to buy links. That'll get you into the SERPS for free, without having to pay the PPC cost.
