From the start one of my sites was penalized. I told Yahoo they said there was no chance of it being included in the search results. But what do you know its recently popped up in a premium position.

Congrats to you! Every day we check our log files hoping to see Slurp nibbling, nothing, we check hits, only to find a few that are probably from some old cache somewhere,
and every day we check Yahoo Serps only to see our sites'
listings under .com, but nowhere else. The penalty imposed by Inktomi remains, so we wait, as long as we
can financially, in hopes that our situation is resolved positively, as was yours.

Has anyone else seen any penalty reduction since Yahoo
began using Inktomi results?

Sincerely,
Don and Cherie

A few posters have mentioned getting sites back after being able to talk to someone personally. They seemed to suggest they were given exact reasons for the penalty and cleaned the site on that advice and had sites reincluded. If you search through the threads it makes interesting reading.

You are probably only seeing some old cache results on someone's pc, Yahoo uses Inktomi and has since the changeover.

It's doing it by category - I have a few websites with totally different content, and in the past week this is what happened - each category start showing the same results, but not at once, there was a day or two difference.
And just now yahoo is showing a brand new GUI...I guess they used the google search results until the new GUI is ready...
darnit...

i have contacted yahoo twice via email, never been gives specific reasons why it was not in the index. only positiontech once suggested to use www.domain.com or domain.com which i did a month or so ago and now it seems it worked.
