Really, this I been thinking for long, and I am not alone.
Would like opinion why yahoo choosed slurp for their result instead of fast or scooter, to me and from what heard seems better, maybe more spam in them, I donīt know but suposed they could make changes to the algo for these spiders if would used them, (scooter is still spidering.......but what for?)

I just canīt see the reason, do think yahoo is loosing money and time with all these problems slurp brings them.

Maybe I am wrong, but until know havnīt heard anything good about slurp.

There is so many mysterious.....

If there intention is to make competition with google, they need an quick crawler......I do think people prefer fresh results.

Perhaps Slurp is the cooler name. Sounds like its just sucking up the whole internet.

The yahoos running the place did name the company Yahoo....

Yahoo! Slurp is the name of the spider but I believe that the underlying technology is built up from a "best of breed" hybrid spider technology, from Inktomi, AltaVista and AlltheWeb/Fast.

I was also worried about this, but after seeing Slurp in action I believe it's not the "old" Slurp.

It seems to perform quite well.
