Does yahoo crawl your site like google does? Meaning you only have to submit once and yahoo will regularly come by to update, or do you have to submit every week.

Hi trg9,

I think it will operate in a similar fashion to google where one submittal would be sufficient. But then again at this present time who knows ;-)

Why submit? If there are good liks to your site yahoo will come by and keep coming by.

"If there are good liks to your site yahoo will come by and keep coming by."

You base this on what? Obviously the statement is false since Yahoo has existed for a month. Yahoo may well do this, but certainly there is no way to be sure of that now.

If you aren't in the database there is no reason not to submit.

They say it may take several weeks. If you don't get listed in a month, submit again.

One of my sites is in a directory. Yahoo happened to come around every once in a while to peak at the index page, but when I submitted it, the crawler ran through the whole thing that day and produced a lot of visits post-crawl. Prior to that crawl I got very little action from yahoo since they abandoned google. Perhaps, their directories and search indexes are out of sync. Perhaps, this is just a racket and not worth getting excited about.
