A few months ago I was made aware of a story that was put out by PRNewswire in 1999 about a court case my company and I (being CEO) was involved in. To make a long story short, the story was inaccurate and defamatory-so much so that PRNewswire asked that websites with the story, such as Looksmart & Highbeam remove it immediately. Everyone immediately removed the story from their servers. I've emailed yahoo search multiple times over the last few months to remove the dead link & text, with nothing more than an autoresponse. This dead link & text are ruining my career due to the fact people search on my name for my publications (I'm a Ph.d. student). I can't wait for the dead link from Yahoo (and MSN for that matter) to eventually fall off "someday". Can anyone advise me on who I or my attorney can contact to get this resolved asap? Google has at least deleted the cache and description, but still has the dead link. All the links on Yahoo, Google, and MSN are in the top 3. I'm so glad I found this forum, any help is greatly appreciated.
