I have used Yahoo since Al Gore siscovered the Web. Lately I have been deluged with purported warnings regarding my account with yahooish send addresses and always with attachments. Naturally I flag these as spam if they make it to my inbox and delete them when they come to my bulk folder. Just wondering if I am alone and if anyone knows anything about this evident attack alleging to come from Yahoo. Best, S

steverose, I'm sure if you scanned these attachments you'd find they contained one of the many new viruses such as:
  • W32.Mydoom.H@mm
  • W32.Beagle.K@mm
  • W32.Netsky.F@mm
  • W32.Beagle.J@mm
  • W32.Hiton@mm
  • W32.Mydoom.G@mm
  • W32.Beagle.I@mm
  • W32.Beagle.H@mm
  • W32.Netsky.E@mm
  • W32.Netsky.D@mm
  • W32.Beagle.G@mm
  • W32.Beagle.F@mm
  • (above are Symantec's virus names)

...just to name a few of the many viruses out lately. It's been crazy the last few weeks.

we call always blame Tim. Just kidding guys, relax :)

My e-mails is swamped too with those virus ones, but to be fair their bulk folder catches most of them. All I have to do is scan for a legit one caught in the middle and empty it.
