I had done a yahoo directory listing last year, with a creditcard that expired in august. I was then issued a new creditcard with a new expiry date but same CC number. I was surprised to see that yahoo managed to charge my new credit card, a rep at the CC company told me yahoo manually charged the CC without providing expiry dates and it went through. I was under the impression to charge a CC you need the number, the expiry date and the authorization number, is that right?

There are various ways to force through a sale.

If you didn't want your card charged, you could call them and ask them for a refund, or you could issue a chargeback with you credit card company.

We've had a million problems with Yahoo billing, so now we're very careful and watchful over how we handle them.
