Dear friends,

Now the search engine results are changing frequently, and yahoo got its own alogorithm but how to optimize for yahoo? Does yahoo too considers links as most important aspect for ranking? and does yahoo follows page rank methodology as google? If yahoo wont considers links then whats the future of link popurity?

I suspect link popularity might have a different significance between PFI and free spidered pages. No proof, it's an assumption that seems logical because it wouldn't be smart at all for brand new sites with no links yet to submit paid if they were very heavily at disadvantage for being new.

From what I've compared between Ink/MSN and Yahoo/Ink when I was getting it for about a month during the testing, looking at the comparison between a few sites/pages/keyword phrases, the pages ranked higher at MSN which seemed like it was due to on-page optimization, but the reverse at Yahoo so it gave me the suspicion that link pop was carrying a different weight.

For example, site-A was #1 at MSN, site-B was #3. Just the reverse at Yahoo, site-B was #3 and site-A was #1. There were several like that - one page was #1 at Ink/MSN, without comparing to others, just comparing positions - and was #3 at Yahoo/Ink. There are few links to the site ranking lower at Yahoo, just as in the first example.
