For over 3 years my client's site was listed within the top ten his keyword. Now he's not listed at all.
What gives? How can I get it picked up without paying the Yahoo Express fee. Any explanations, reasons, suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

"it doesnt come up anywhere in results"
my guess? They haven't mixed it up yet. It's there but it isn't type of thing. Right now their ENTIRE DB is down, upgrading and including the new results I assume.
this is what I get no matter what i search for:

Return to Yahoo!

ON EDIT: it is the SAME cache as Google. Are they back to google? Is this why we're in the index now?

I have found a few pages from my site... the one's that I recently submitted to Ink. 20 pages from a site with 3000 pages.

Amazing thing is I do a search on my company name and the main keywords..... the result.... my website comes up in the last result of the search. LOL

It happens for each page that I do the search for. I search for Company name plus key words related to the page...and bam...I find it at the end of the search results.

It has something to do with fact these pages got into the search through Ink.

I doubt it has anything to do with Ink. I'm in the same boat and sent it to INK tonight the submission. Unless I search word for word, nothing comes from my main site. Maybe they're running the results through a filter of penalized sites first or they're mixing G with their own listings but the G ones haven't been indexed /merged with the Y search? Who knows

Abigail,

How are you finding your pages? What sorts of search are you doing?

Hope you are right. :)

update:
Looked into my logs and I'm actually getting referrals from search.yahoo.com.

About 8-10 times less but beats being banned or penalized. Once the fine tune their algo, I know I'll fair much better. My fear is that they're google results mixed and once google is out, I'm out too with them..

anyone else have an update?

I just searched "mydomain.com" and then hit the "More Pages From This Site" link and there they were! All of them. Not in the search results yet but definitely listed in the index.

You can do a site:www.domain.com and get to see your listings. Looks like they are from G's database.

Just did a search for some obscure terms and found one of my page! And it is NOT showing "Search Technology provided by Google" on the bottom of the search results.

But it looks exactly like G's result for this term. What's up?

I wish someone in postion would clear it up. Those "google" searches don't carry the same weight as the rest in Y!. I have to work hard to find my site's listings.

Ive paid for 20 inktomi inclusions.

Only my home page shows up when I do a search on the domain name.

Another targeted search I was able to find one page from the site. Upon clicking on More pages from this site, I found the other 19 pages from Inktomi.

Appears that if your site has been penalized by Inktomi/Yahoo, they will show the home page in their index. They wont spider any more pages.

If you have paid Inktomi, you get into the Yahoo results but even if you search for terms that are very specific to one of these pages, it will show up at the very end of all search results.

Bottom line, if your site is penalized for whatever reason even if you pay Inktomi for listings, your results will not be found in Yahoo because there is another penalty that is sending them to the very end.
