SERPS from HK vs. US SERPS

How much and why do they differ?

I noticed that one of my cleints sites are doing well in the yahoo searchs coming from:

hk.search.yahoo.com

However, in the SERPS here in the states they are not doing as well - infact its a lot worse.

Is this due to the number of sites indexed or are there other factors.

Looks like hk.search.yahoo.com uses Openfind SERPs.
