Whats all this about PR?

Hi,

I have just got our site included in the yahoo directory. reading a few things posted on the board Im a little confused about the value of PR passed by yahoo.

I read that people are asking should they be added to a PR6 cat or a PR3 cat?

I have found my listing on the site listings page and that page has a PR value of 6, while another cat that I could fit into has a PR value of 4..

Im confused as i would have though the higher the PR the better it is for our site, but postings seem to say the lower the PR the better.

Can anyone expand on these points, most of my competitors are listed in the PR4 cat so i dont want to be losing out..
