Got a bit of cash to spend on web promotion and I seem to have covered most the other bases but haven't yet submitted to Yahoo Directory but before I do so I was wondering if there is any reason to do so?

My companies name begins with a letter towards the end of the alphabet and so I'm not going to get many 'impulse' clicks which may occur if my company began with the letter 'A'. In addition, the catagory I am looking to be listed in has a PR0 rating.

Do any third party directories use the Yahoo directory which could result in visitors or am I likely to be paying £199 for an obsure link at the bottom of a PR0 page beneath 200 other companies?

Cheers all

Chris

Would you benifit better to be in that category or to be listed under your city category where you perform the business? I commonly get the city category listed for free but have yet to pay to be listed with hundreds of other companies. There could be benifits, my competitors do it so maybe I should too :D

If you have the money and you think that Yahoo brings you lots of traffic then it could be wise for you to go with them.

I think it's worth it if you only promote one site, even if you only get a few clicks and a couple of sales over a period of 12 months it would make it worth your while.
