I would like to change the description and title Yahoo selected regarding its directory. Can this be done?

You can email them and request the change. Whether it gets done or not is uncertain. I have sucessfully changed my site's description in this manner twice in 5 years, but have never requested title change.
Mail them from the same email address used for the original submission and include all the old info and what you'd like changed.
