Yahoo showing full Google results again!

After months of garbage results.

For several major categories, Yahoo has for months showed results that differed greatly from Google. No one to date could say with certainty where these results were coming from.

Happily, I checked today and bingo - Google results for my main category keyword. Since I am listed #3 in 2.5 million results in Google, this is important to my traffic. I now have the Yahoo traffic also and an extra 100 visitors a day. Yaaaaaaaaaa!

Yeap, Yahoo's really erratic, it's difficult to know what they're up to at any given time.

Their traffic is down so much from this time a year ago. Before a top 5 listing in Yahoo meant hundreds of daily uniques. Now for the same listing in Google and Yahoo, Google's sending twice as many visitors. It's sad to see. The main advantage is that Yahoo's users tend to spend more than Google users (for some weird reason).

Anyways, congrats on the traffic.

I'm still seeing some erratic behavior in Yahoo's search results vs. the same search done in Google. Could this be because Yahoo uses a slightly different algo then Google?

I think that the server is probably very busy with all that stuff so the quality dropped a bit. Google has less things so there is more space.

My top keyword is #2 in Google but #3 in Yahoo.
Same thing for Alexa.

Are Yahoo and Alexa using old results?

I can't remember being #3 for my favorite keywords. Must have been on vacaction when it
happened.

checked www www2 and www3.google.com and still #2, so that can't be it.

Hopefully yahoo is not predicting the google future.
