An interesting question is this then: If Google can parse a Yahoo! listing as such, can it also do the same for listings in other major directories where the links are tracking URLs? This has a fairly important bearing on overall campaign strategy, as there are many major directory venues that use tracking URLs.
Although GG probably does not care to answer questions of this sort, I am sure he could provide some solid guidance on this.

If the Yahoo category page is less than a PR of 4 or 5, consider just going out and getting 1 site with same PR or higher to link to you... and save your $300.
It is relatively easy to get ONE other site to list to you if you spend alittle time doing it... and a Yahoo listing will drive very few clicks. Therefore, my opinion is that it is almost never worth paying the $300 to get a Yahoo listing.
At all the Search Engine Strategies conferences I've been to, Google has always said that they pay NO special attention to Yahoo or DMOZ... and my experience has definitely shown this to be true.
A regional yahoo listing is well worth it if the category has few listings in it, about 10 sites. The site appears on regional yahoo and of course the main directory as well.
Our clients get quite a significant amount of traffic from yahoo.co.uk directory and this only costs £199.00
A few adult sites we have promoted have paid the £400 and have not been disappointed.
Yes its fair to say if you are high in google at the moment this will boost your rankings in yahoo, but dont forget inktomi will soon provide the results and then search results will differ.
