Will Google be replaced by Inktomi?

Will yahoo go with inktomi results instead of Google?

Has anyone heard what is going to happen to the Yahoo! results now that they own Inktomi? Isn't their contract up with Google at the end of the year?
What does all of this mean?!

I'm going crazy!

Um, Google seems to be stable there (for the time being...)

That's what makes the business fun. :) If you don't like how the market / industry looks today, wait a few months, or weeks.

It'll change. Promise.

Chances are Yahoo! will go to Inktomi. My real question is what is going to happen to the Yahoo! directory.

Will it vanish?

Absolutely not, the new search will still display the categories. But SERPS will be used from Inktomi instead of Google.

Unless and until we see some hard documentation as evidence, we can't know for sure which way it'll go, or when. The Google agreement is non-exclusive, so it could go either way or be a hybrid.
