Unfortunately, optimizing for Yahoo right now is optimizing for Google.
That may change soon if/when they begin to roll out Inktomi results. Many believe that there are major changes looming.
As for optimizing for MSN, again we're talking about optimizing for other databases: Looksmart/Wisenut and Ink.
I totally hear what you're saying about the traffic. MSN can lead to decent traffic, but right now Google's the major provider.
As for Yahoo, it will be very interesting to see what Yahoo does in the coming months. Most speculate that INK will take over the SE Technology for Yahoo and Google will get the boot. Very interesting, truthfully the SE market is very unstable right now, meaning with all of it's changes. The best bet is to optimize for Google right now, and you should get the majority of traffic (Google/Yahoo/MSN). I sure wish I was on top of the game with Google as I was with Yahoo, because if so my business would have tripled for the most part rather than going into a downward spiral.
