Yahoo showing 100% Google results right now

Only way to see it is Yahoo, is with the red arrow, and title.

It's currently all Google, for all searches, am I the only one seeing this? I know they have done this before, but then it was with a "test"-tag, now it is not.

As it is at this moment, directory listed sites seem to have NO advantage over Google's sites.

This better not be a sign of things to come...

I have also tested it with several different proxies, and looks like the overture sponsored listings are showing up differently, depending on where you are located...

Yes getting the same here in the UK when searching Yahoo.com while yahoo.co.uk remains with its poor irrelevant results

Ya, don't get the 'refresh pages' comment. You mean the 'fresh listings' yes?...

a particular web page with a refresh listing -- yes is appearing in Yahoo.

Pages posted to a website on the 12th appeared in Google (refresh date 17th) but also in Yahoo results

Well, looks like there has been an update on most results, I believe it is still going. Directory results are again given more weight, and I now have a time-table for these updates, both in web-results and directory... Now ofcourse, they'll probably get rid of Google, so...
Anyways, a very good update for me.

Ok, fathom - thanks for the clarification. :) Yes, lately my newest stuff as well has been filtering through to Yahoo just as fast as it shows up on Google. :)

Which is a very happy thing for me. Though if Yahoo does pull a switch, I won't be unhappy either, since Inktomi seems to find my stuff & index it even faster than Google's fresh listings. Not always, but it's nice to see something of a race for 'which engine drive the fastest referral to my sites' :)

I guess I'll ask...

hmgab, what are you talking about, and where are you searching from? Yahoo.com has been 100% Google for months.

Could it be that Yahoo is pulling fresh listings from Google...they seem to have increased their usage of those in many cases, at least for me.

No, Yahoo.com has not been 100% Google. The directory sites are sometimes given more weight on certain keywords. It is no doubt affected by Google, but...
The directory sites have been "updated" in those keywords I am talking about, on normal search.

Just do a search for a rather prominent keyword, and you will see that Yahoo.com and Google.com results are not a 100% match. At least they are not in my line of business ;-)

Yahoo and Google are exactly the same for every search I do, with the exception that second pages are not listed on Yahoo and the red arrow exists and the description is from the yahoo directory. I'm sure there are an awful lot of folks who have been bellyaching here about their directory listings who wish what you say is true.

Yahoo UK is a different story.

steveb:
Without me going into too much detail, I have sites in the Yahoo directory that cost $600 per year, try doing searches in that area ;-)

Now when I look, I can see what you mean though, I just never looked in "your" parts of the woods before, I just assumed it would be the same as my "area".

Not sure? When I first saw this - thought it was an error. As I understand refresh had nothing to do with the monthly archive or normal feeds.

However, Netscape shows the same thing... definitely a new trend.
