I did a site for someone and submitted to Google, DMOZ and Inktomi PPI for MSN, etc.
I did not pay for Yahoo $299 submission figuring that Google results come up anyway.
Today I did a search in Yahoo with keyword string like: "city name service type" and to my surprize the site was not listed in Yahoo for that phrase, although it ranks on the first page in Google and in MSN (through Ink PPI).
Not to be found anywhere in Yahoo, I am wondering if Yahoo has a block on some search terms that have the search order for: "the city name and then service", because that is how it would be listed and found in their directory.
I have two different company sites, same industry, same city, that are both effected by this. They both come up for the search string "service type in city name".
Can anyone shed light on this? Hopefully I was clear in describing the situation without giving the exact search term away.
