is this true - yahoo express renewals?

Ok, so if I renew a listing, it just continues. But if I cancel it, and then resubmit it, it will appear with the "new" icon beside it, thus creating a surge of traffic for a week or two?

Is this true? Why would anyone renew instead of cancelling and resubmitting to get the "new" listing benefit?

Hm, that's a good idea. But - you might miss Google spidering the listing temporarily, and then you might drop down in the Google rankings - which for me, is still a good reason to pay up at Yahoo.

But if that isn't a worry for you - try it and let us know how it goes. :)

Sounds like a pretty good tactic.

I think you get extra PR boost from being "new." Just because you have an extra Yahoo link.

For the cons:
1) If you have a listing in two yahoo cateogories it might be hard to reconvince them to multiple list.

2) If you are listed in a lot of local/regional yahoos, it will takes awhile for new lsitings to filter down.

what if your new listing ends up being rejected, put in a compltely different category, or evn worse, have completely irrelevant description.title entered by the editor.

You just dont want to be messing around with Yahoo listings.

Scorpion I asked that question the other day and no one fessed up to trying it.

I think it's a good idea - especially if you have a bad description.
