Ok, say you do a search for "office space"...

You'll get these results:
[search.yahoo.com...]

Then, click on the directoy results, and get these:
[search.yahoo.com...]

Now, what I dont understand is:
The top 3 results on both those searches are "directory" sites, but different. So why wouldnt the top 3 directory results also pop up in web search?

I saw the directory results were just updated a few days ago. The web results (the Yahoo sites, not the google-sites) in my categories have not been updated in like 6 months...

Can anyone give me any input on this, what do you think?
Will the top Yahoo sites in the directory also become the top sites in web-results?
This explanation got kinda messy, but I am hoping someone sees what I mean :-)

The algorithms are different for the Yahoo directory and the Yahoo (Google) web pages. Notice in the Yahoo Directory results that all three have both "office" and "space" in them. I did not analyze the web page matches too closely, but my guess is that their PR and incoming links are better.
