Old URL is grandfathered on Yahoo

How do I switch URL's from old to new?

Back in 95 I had a site designed and hosted by a friend of mine who did this for a living. This year I decided to design my own site and do all the SEO myself. My old URL is now just a link to my new site. I was wondering first of all is this could hurt my PR having this link? And if it's possilble to have Yahoo change my old URL to my new one?

Why not rebuild your old url?

Even if it was CRAP (and i'm sure it was just lovely ;)) you're sure to have a few links coming in besides Y! right?

What is the old PR?

Hi Nick
The reason I don't have him rebuild it is the cost and the old site never did produce much traffic. It has a PR of 5. He also hosts several of my close competitors. My new page is ranked very high for 30 search terms on all the search engines and has a PR of 5 with 150 links. All of this in only two months of work. You know how it is if you want it done right do it your self!
