Free Yahoo and Amazon.com

does this make me a business or not?

I see that Yahoo won't list you in anything but business sections of their directory if you sell anything. Does this include affiliates I don't have a gob of affliliate links, just a few to books or book searches related to my topic. I am wondering if it is worth trying to get linked from Yahoosince I have the Amazon affiliate.

If am not wrong, if the main theme of your web site is just providing info, then you can consider your web site as non-business site. It is ok to be making money by having few affiliate links. There is a huge difference between "affiliate link site" and "affilaite link on site".

Annej, another idea is to remove the links for a brief period during submission to improve your chances of getting listed. You can add them back later.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I will wait until after Christmas as I get more book sales during this season. Basically my Amazon sales pay for my expenses for the site.
