free Yahoo!?

seen in some non-US Yahoo!s, but this is new (again) to the States, no?

I've used a similar interface in asia.yahoo.com to get a free Yahoo! listing in the past, but I think this US Yahoo! feature is new(?). I think there was something like this (in US Yahoo!) in my pre-SEO days, but I am sure some of the vets can shed more historical light on this . . .

BTW, got a free listing in under a week (for a commercial site!).

Is this indeed new to US Yahoo!, or has free submission just been well hidden all this time?

Free submission have been available as long as i can remember, not for all categories though, not sure the maximum but they have a limit where they remove the "Free" option, and in some categories which is pure commercial.

Oh, I see . . . (duh). Some categories will have this option and others won't. I guess since the vast majority of categories I've submitted to didn't have this option, I was surprised to see it when I did.
