Position checking software

Can it harm your ranking?

I read somewhere (here I think) that position checking software can actually damage your ranking, or possibly get you banned...

Can anybody throw any light on this?

but try doing a search using the link on the top, it will pull out loads of infomation for you. I think alot will depend on how you access the internet
