DMOZ categories have no PR

I recently noticed that category pages on DMOZ have no PR in the toolbar

Sorry, if it has been already talked about.

For example:
[dmoz.org...]

The only page which is having PR value is the home page.

While in the same time the Google clone have its PR on all the pages?
[directory.google.com...]

A bug or deliberate ban or something?

Strange stuff. I'm even seeing PR0 for the main page right now.

As far as Google is concerned it's duplicate content to it's own directory, maybe.

www has no pr, but non-www does.

i.e. dmoz.org/Computers has PR

yes, its dupe

more likely though its its duping itself

try the link without the www.

it has Pagerank

Whoops we duped each other, posting at the same time, as I posted then edited, lol

That makes a kind of sense. If I remember accurately going back a few years, DMOZ used to redirect every url to the no-www version.

A year ago, site:www.dmoz.org returned tens of millions of results, not one of which was from the ODP site itself. It was just about the best example of the "302 redirect URL hijacking" problem that I could find anywhere on the net.

It stayed that way for very many months, until one day it was mentioned here on WebmasterWorld. Then, within 24 hours, the site:www.dmoz.org search returned zero results and has done ever since.

The www pages also have zero PR too, as noted.

What is confirmed? What I said, or the OP?

Seen this for over a month now.
dubdubdub verses no dub gives different toolbar pr values.
Doubt if it is any reason for concern, it is just what it is.

ODP's preferred URL is [dmoz.org...] - they have never used the WWW

But a recent survey of the uses of the Green bar concluded that the only real use was to allow men to say "Mine is Bigger Than Yours" - Whether accurate or not ;)

Personally, I think there are at least two uses of the green bar - but as an indicator of a page's page rank, it has no value at all.
