Google has launched a new U.S. Government Search to make finding government information easier.

This capability also includes news sources such as The Washington Post.

As other search tools from Google, this one is customisable and with the ability to add RSS feeds and other content.

I tried a search by hitting the ENTER button on my keyword instead of clicking on Search Government Sites and the results were from the Search the Web option. Seems strange that the default for using the ENTER key would not be Search Government Sites.

Somehow...I can't help but appreciate the irony of this search feature.

So, what's new here? The fact that it's customizable now and has it's own sub-domain?

It's been there for as long as I can remeber, but called "Uncle Sam" search... [google.com...]

There's also searches for Mac, Linux, and others... [google.com...]
