Increase in indented listings?

Anyone seeing this in their space?

One of our sites recently dropped several positions in literally every keyword we monitor by virtue of several of the sites above us gaining indented listings. Most terms were top ten, some still are and others have been knocked down to page two.

The industry we're in is very competetive (most terms having 50-150MM results) and is a smooth blend of spam and legit sites, but the sites above us, the ones with the shiney new indented listings, are for the most part good clean sites.

Has anyone else observed this in their space?

Sunny, What are we supposed to be looking for when we check those data centers.

Some were unchanged but some seem to be using the indented format showing a second page from the same site. Which pushes everyone else down a notch.

annej,

The first 3 and the last 3 are (at this time) one dataset (Copra) and the middle 3 are another (Turd).

Which ones have the indented results on your terms?

Sid

Only the last three have the indented listings plus #1 and #2 have switched. This morning when I looked there were more.

Thanks for the welcome Brett. We're actually long time lurkers (don't shoot) and regular conference attendees, so we're pretty familliar, but far from pros.

Of the data centers listed, the first three show very favorable results, the next three are so-so, and the last few are very strange and contain a lot of sites in the top 10 that came from who knows where, but they are new to the top for sure. None of them however show the indented listings currently haunting us on centers like 64.233.187.104

Without having to clear my calendat to read the DC watch thread, do you have any idea what these results might imply? Crystal balls? Odd balls? Time capsules?

Hmm, oddly enough, the DC I listed is one that was listed as well. According to my Firefox plugin, that the DC I am getting, but when I go to google.com I get indented listings and when I go to the IP i do not.

the fruits of bigdaddy

Anybody have an understanding of exactly what “fruit” these BD changes are supposed to bear? Once the dust settles, what is supposed to be improved? (I thought the party line was improved indexing and crawling but surely there’s got to be more to it than that)
