Question about site being dropped from Google

I don't follow the seo forums very often so I'm sure variations of the question have been asked but after reading that Google is apparently going through an update I thought I would see if I could get some feedback.

I have a 10 year old site with 52,100 pages indexed by Google. The site has ranked in the top 5 on Google for the keywords "<keyword>", ''<keyword> website" and ''<keyword> web sites" for several years now. I noticed tonight it is gone. It is still listed in Google but it is not in the top 100 for any of the keywords. The page has a couple of thousand backlinks and a PR of 5.

I tried several other data centers and did find it listed in a few. Do you think this is a temporary thing during the update or does it look like I am losing my high ranking?

Thanks for the feedback.

Jeff

hi there, you may wish to check out this thread here: [webmasterworld.com...]

it seems that google is having a few glitches, big ones, sites are going missing all over the place.

Try a search for your keyphrase in quotes.
