Just wondering if it looks like Google has finally fixed the hyphenated url problem as my site is now showing 85,000 pages indexed (has been saying 500 for past month).

The site command for my hyphenated domains has been sort of fixed. It now shows more than the home page. However, it also shows supplementals that are as far back as early 2005. (Pages that no longer exist). So, I would say "no" it hasn't been fixed.

internetheaven,

Anything you have done to get fully indexed again, like a reinclusion request, link building etc.

It seems fixed for us. During the problem one of our sites, hypenated domain, dipped to 45 pages, and now its consistantly back up to 15,000.

We didn't do anything to the site, or request anything from Google.

I don't think I was actually de-indexed. This is to do with the site:hyphenated-domain.com problem Google has been having.

In google.com it's in the pits. On the IP datacenters, it does look fixed.

It was never "just" hyphenated URLs that had a problem.

It was also broken if you tried to find pages with a particular hyphenated email address on them: you got different results with a hyphen, and with the hyphen replaced by a space. The latter revealed the real results.

There are also many issues with searches that include one or more -inurl:word parameters. Totally whacky results.

Oh, forget the "was".

It still "is" broken for all those types of search.
