Google Is Serving Recipes!

Food recipe search boxes on top of the results

I came across some SERPs which have search boxes for recipes. I could only get it for a few keywords (e.g. bread recipes, chicken soup recipes).

Has this been around or is this something brand new?

Relatively new, I'd say -- it sounds like Google Base information.

Yes, I think it is Google Base as well. I realized that after I made the post.

Pretty interesting though still. Google Base is a good tool to market a website or service, as Google seems to be using more and more of the data submitted to Base.

I saw something about this a few months back. I don't remember where I heard about it though. Probably here somewhere.

Hmmmmmm...I run a niche recipe website.

Time to look into the Base.
