On the Big Daddy dcs, all I see is my page title followed by my meta tag.
Anyone have any ideas about why this might be so? I'd like my snippets back.
I have also noticed the snippets issue on BD. Some of my pages had meta description tags missing, so the 'snippet' G choose to display was actually the meta keywords.
On regular G SERPs, these same pages used to have a snippet taken from text in the body of the document. I suspect that maybe it is to do with depth of crawl ... maybe there wasn't enough 'push' (or 'pull') for the G spiders to get further down the page? The pages that were affected on my site were second-level (product pages rather than category pages). Hopefully this will be resolved through deeper indexing by G ... I would like my snippets back too!

An interesting observation there. I've been seeing some urls go into omitted results that accidentally had titles and meta tags identical to another page -- even though the page content itself was extremely different. And changing the title and metas brought the url back into the primary results. File that one under "things that me me go hmmm..."
