I see quite a few changes on some of my main kw where I have not ranked since Jagger.

Well we know an update is brewing - but not really ready for prime time yet.

This is on DC - 64.233.179.104

Not really seeing much on the other dcs - except the normal strageness that follows my sites :/

Could be a little shuffle going on - but this will be insignificant compared to what G are trying to achieve on the test dc.

I have really noticed a big slow down on spidering and new content being added to all other datacenters but the 2 test centers, seems like there just waiting for the switch and not adding much, anyone else seeing this.

There is definetely some positive movement on the test DC for my main keywords. Some of the positions lost durig Jagger are slowly returning.

Can you say, index rebuild?

Maybe a rebuild/merge type thing.

Lets hope they get it right :) - there have been attempts at sorting the 301/302 Canonical issue and they have previously failed. :(

This look like a serious attempt though.

If 64.233.179.104 got rolled out across Google I'd be very happy - the rankings wouldn't be spectacular by any means, but at least they would be what I could reasonably expect given my BL's.

More important than that, though, is that the homepage ranks for the phrases it should rank for, instead of an inner page with no external BL's at all. That has been the most annoying thing about the Jagger update for me.

Other important pages on my site also rank for their targeted phrases. If you're out there GG, ask them to press the big red button to start this one out across the DC's...

Noooo - If you are out there GG - keep working on it before the roll out.

Things are moving in the right direction but not there yet - I would rather wait a few weeks for G to get it right :)

Also GG it wouldnt hurt to add more of the data crawled by Mozilla Googlebot ;) - only a tiny percent of my pages have been added :(

I guess those here that like these results must be running an affiliate directory of some kind.

Just directory sites cleaning up at the top of the serps that i watch.

The results on 64.233.179.104 as at today are worse than ever imo

I agree. And on a site: mysite search it has too many supplementals still listed and pages that have been dead 8 months.

I think google will have something after the first of the year. Engineers aren't going to miss the holidays to sit around the office trying to figure out if everythings okay.

The results for the travel keywords and keyphrases that I watch aren't much different from the results on the other data centers. (And I'm not talking about obscure terms--some have results in the millions or tens of millions.)

Don't get me wrong: I'm not saying the results are perfect; I just don't see the dramatic changes that some of you do.

Yes, results are not that much different yet - but it is the way Google is treating issues - eg 301s and Canonicals that is important on this DC - and the main aim of the dc.

EG - I definetly see less Canonical problems - however the ranking/serp improvements have not changed yet - whether this will follow is yet to be seen.

As MC said on his blog:-

"There are already some improvements, but there’s also a win to be gotten just because the infrastructure is newer/better and good foundation for future progress."

So at this stage maybe we are seeing the basis for the new index.

Win to be gotten? what does that mean?

But anyway - MC is hardly saying that the DC is anywhere near complete.

I have a great results on 64.233.179.104, much more pages indexed on few sites etc - i would LOVE these results but all other DC's showing no changes.

This is a test DC or something? What results from that DC means - that they will come or its just a test and they have nothing to do with "normal" DCs?

I hope that soon all DCs will have a results like on 64.233.179.104, ouch what a christmas gift.

This DC have a 16,700,000,000 indexed pages, all other only 6,750,000,000, almost 3 times less.

There was always situation like that on this DC? Or this means that soon Google index will blow.

I never looked at this DC so i can't say anything.

last night I saw it switch jump back to the previous results for a couple of minutes (that have around 16M results) but the new results seems to have more than 81M and are much better, less garbage. sweet.
