Multiple Domains

I'm curious: I know of a site that has several different domains all pointing to the same page and so they come up several times for one keyword but all that comes up points to the same site. Is that spam?

Also, I have reworded some of my pages so I use the same keyword a lot, but within sentences. Is that spam?

Just making sure.

I don't want to be penalized, but also am trying to enrich my content to be picked up for that keyword.

I'm not using invisible text or doorway pages or any of those things, just trying to change my content some.

Thanks,

Christine

Hi, Mommacude. Content is almost always a good thing, so keep at it.

Multiple domains (listed individually in the search results) that redirect to the same place would generally be considered undesirable by SEs and probably spam.

Thanks! I thought that it seemed fishy. I also had someone offer to do SEO for me, but they wanted to use all these doorway pages. It just seemed too risky so I'm doing it the old fashioned way. But I don't want to do anything that will hurt my rank later.

I'm working on alt tags and meta descriptions now, so hopefully by the next deep crawler I'll have it all looked at. I hope I get it done in time.

If you're adding alt text do it for your viewers (or those that can't view). Don't load it with unnecessary keywords for the se's cuz Google doesn't appear to index alt text unless it is within a link.

That's good to know. Thanks!
