I had taken some poor advice on one of my domains (prior to visiting here ;-) and had done a few things google may not have looked upon favorably.
Now, I haven't lost any ranking, and I "cleaned" up the site over a month ago. Although freshbot continues daily visits like crazy (over 100 so far today), I'm wondering if it is still possible that the site has been banned.
If you're banned, does the ban go into effect right away, or does it wail until the next update?
People with a PageRank penalty are still be crawled, but if you were on the banned list then I'm pretty sure (from the experience of banned people) that you'd not be crawled.
They don't always come into affect immediately, but hopefully you've cleaned up the site soon enough.
