Lets start a list here.

Working for more good backlinks is always a good one.

I just spent some time playing with word density but I have no idea if it did any good at all.

In the process I looked in my stats for the words people used to search that found pages on my site. I noticed some form their search as a question and it occured to me that slipping in some of those question type words like who, what, where, when and how might help. After all most people find sites on a great variety of searches. So that's what I have been doing this afternoon and this is the first time I've checked to see if the update started since early morning. ;)

anne, I would say to do a few searches at google on question type of phrases for example i just did

what are apples

google -

The following words are very common and were not included in your search: what are. [details]

I believe these are referred to as stop words and not included though it is really interesting that if you do 2 searches [apples] and [what are apples] it says it ignores the "what are" but does display different top results

as far as contructive things to do ... i place posts trying to get people to buy apples from my site ;-)

How much effect does Keyword density have within google? I have read differning opinions. Am i correct thinking that a page that looks 'normal' , with the keyword/phrases appearing several times is fine, and twiking doesnt generally make significant of differance?

I've noticed the same thing plus there are other search engines out there where it will help.
