Hello,

Sorry if it is wrong place to ask.
I need the complete papaer of google initial algorith description.
The short is aesy to find on the net, for example [n3labs.com...]
And it contains next words: "Note: There are two versions of this paper --a longer full version and a shorter printed version. The
full version is available on the web and the conference CD-ROM."

... So it is supposed it can be found on the net, anybody knows where I can get it?

Thank you,
Andrew.

Appears I couldn't follow that link there...anyway, here is the paper you are looking for:

[www7.scu.edu.au...]

<edit> Appears that this is the same paper you already posted above...though I must say, this ones a bit easier to read.

Thank you,
But these 2 are just the same papers. I need the complete version (about 100 pages).
Or an information where I can ask to get it.

Thank you,
Andrew.

Many papers are available in HTML, but a Postscript or PDF viewer is handy.

I would consider these two documents to be the 'de jure' descriptions of PageRank (and other aspects of Google in the early days):

The Anatomy of a Large-Scale Hypertextual Web Search Engine
The PageRank Citation Ranking Bringing Order to the Web

For some further ideas that may end up in Google, I like these:

Hilltop A Search Engine based on Expert Documents
Authoritative Sources in a Hyperlinked Environment
Topic-Sensitive PageRank
Using PageRank to Characterize Web Structure
Efficient Identification of Web Communities

Also, note the recent threads about Google patents and patent applications.

Where are you getting that the long one is 100 pages? Why don't you think it's the paper linked to here?

Um, and why would you need the long version? Is there something special there?

Are all of use who get incredibly good rankings missing something vital to our optimization efforts?

Please let us know what you think you'll get out of the other paper...perhaps one of us could point you in the right direction, even without it. :)

There is a ton of knowledge about Google and PageRank here since most of us have read all of the above cited papers, etc.

adsoft13,

I'm with ciml on this.. that list should cover it :)

There's one more I might add if that's ok... Efficient Comuputation of Page Rank [net.cs.pku.edu.cn] which is worth a read..

Is there a specific detail you're after?

Here's the Anatomy of an SE .pdf [www-db.stanford.edu] if that helps.. Do let us know if you find a more involved paper :)

I need to build my own SE, this is why I need it :)
It shall clarify in more detaikls how seach with multiple words is done, I don't understand it 100% from this paper ... and how the PR is calculated technically on the PCs.

Thank you all - the papers you found will help me.
Andrew.
