I have a (hopefully) easy question about my site. It is already listed in google under key word search, and listed with desription from meta keywords. It now is listed in the ODP directory with a different discription. Question, once the Google Directory is updated How will the discription be, current or based on the directory listing or both, Thanks in advanced for any responses. rd

Welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com] rdupree.

Here's a related discussion from earler today:

  • Controlling description in google [webmasterworld.com]

A site search [searchengineworld.com] may also turn up some information that you're looking for. I have also used the Search Site feature on the Google toolbar and found what I was looking for.

coconutz provided good links, just a note though, if your site was recently published in DMOZ, it may not show up in the upcomming update, GoogleGuy stated that when they started to Crawl the RDF dump from DMOZ was still old (If you don't know what the RDF dump is check the "directories forum").
