The story so far

UK search only

January Our site site exhibited good returns in google page 1 - 2 it had been like this for about 1 year

Then bam gone all that exists is a un cached ref to the homepage and links to us. All our product pages have gone. But if you manually bring up the product pages they show reasonable ranking if fact the ranking is better than our competition. We are using addwords to compensate but its no real solution. Beer token for any Ideas...

Russco,

Welcome to WebMasterWorld,

It's against the TOS to post your url as well as seach words... You'd better edit your post before a mod does it for you ;)

Russco,

Is it a new site? Has it been deepcrawled yet, apart from early february?
If your site has been deepcawled, you'll have to wait for the next dance (like we all do) for your site to show up permanently in the index. If it's a new site, the show/noshow in the index is due to the FreshBots who have visited your site. Do a search on WebMasterWorld for "freshbot" or "everflux" and you'll find a lot about it.

Possibly your site was down during the update, since it shows no cache.

If you were 'up' last craw(beginning of feb), you should be included again this update, which should take place this week, assuming your site was not penaltized.

<added>What do you mean by: manually bring up the product pages? How do you do that if you're not indexed?

Do you mean if you go to the site you have a higher PR than your compettitors? If your not indexed, it very likely it's a guessed pr. </added>

Its quite old 2 years I Joined the company changed the front page to spruce it up. I didnt alter any links to products just body text and images. Fresh bot has been crawing all over it for the past month or so I dont know if its been deep crawled. I have no problems with other sites I maintain and I change them all the time. The only dif it this is asp driven

[oururl.co.uk...]

What chokes me in this business the companys that use link farms allways do better than the good guys.

( just go to the product and look at the google page rank or doesnt it work like that?)

The site was down when slammer hit it then vanished soon after, this is my theory as it popped back up a week later then off again 4 days later

Ok, this means you were down during the crawl, and you only are listed when the freshbot visits.

If your'e lucky(meaning you were up during the cawl), you will be in after this update,in the worst case you will be in next update(next month).
