Waiting for the Google update is like watching water boil

Ever notice that the Google update seems to happen when you least expect it? And not when your constantly going to www2 and www3 looking for backlink changes?

It's like waiting for water to boil if you do it that way! The update will come faster if you go out and do something and forget about it!

Also, I don't think the "threatening" and the "COME ON ALLREADY GOOGLE!" posts help, but I've noticed rather the update usually happens after all the "UPDATE IT CMON!" posts subside.

My goal for this year : getting to a point where the Google update would not cause me so much stress. Of course, achieving this goal is dependent on this next and a few more updates to come:-)

Im in the uk too - just before 11 pm here.

There are definate differences in www and www2,www3 which unfortunately looks like one of my sites has dropped.

I normally look for a change in the number of links to my sites on www2 and www3, but this hasn't happened this time. New links that exist to me on pages that google is aware of have not yet appeared.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Looks like google is doing something different this month - i guess we will just have to sit tight and see!

If we all get together, and take a break from "Google Watching" and go watch TV or go jump on the trampeline, or play pool or something, when we come back the update will have started, i know it!

Cause that's when it ALWAYS happens! When Google thinks no one is watching! I'm convinced of this...

Exactly! When younger, Santa wouldn't come if you stayed awake! Same with the Google update, gotta sleep, or do something else or else it won't happen! ;P

I think we have now worked out who presses 'the big red button', and why the update didnt start on 24th/25 December - he had 'a prior engagement'!
