This problem has been annoying me for quite some time. My site has been listed in Google for about 9 months now.

I'm listed in the yahoo directory, and have about 10 other good sites linking to mine. However, when I use google to check my backward links, it tells me I have none. I know it's visited the other sites that are linking to mine, because they all have good PR values.

Whats worse is that google isn't including the pages within my site that link to the homepage. Are there any reasons for this?

I'm baffled to the bejesus on this one.

Google only displays incoming links from pages with PR4 or more.

I have the same problem. Some of my incoming links are PR4, some PR5, yet Google say I have none. Though it has not affected my own PR.

But bokesch says the sites linking to him all have good PR values, which would suggest PR > 4...

Bokesch,

For your backlinks to show up with the Google link: search, I think that your PR must be at least 4 as well ...

I think your own page needs to be PR 4 to show any backlinks at all.

So if the page linking to you has PR 4 or higher, it probably has too many links to give you a PR4, or it might be a javascript link or otherwise some redirect link, or the page might have some robotstext preventing the links to pass Pagerank. Also, some frames sites show other Pagerank than the specific page would be.

Well, my site has a PR 3.
Does this alone mean no backlinks will have an impact on the site?

My yahoo listing has a PR of 6 or 7 I think. Should it be showing up in my backlinks?

your site and the sites linking to you need a pr of at least 4 to show up
for your backlinks - even if you got a pr4, not all pr4+ links to you will
show

*Sometimes* you might see a PR3 site on Google with backlinks listed. Usually not.

All the backlinks you have count (that's how the site got to PR3). When you get more links and the site reaches a PR4 a link search will show all backlinks from pages that are PR4 and above.

I follow 24 of my sites for PageRank, and have noticed that I can see the links on all my 4, 5, 6's - but never any sites that rank 3 or below.

www3.google.com - my links are back - after a few months.

9 unique, 11 total links pointing in of pagerank 4 or over. All of these links have been there for over one year and the PR has not changed (no PR change on DMOZ, or Google groups for example).
