Greatings all

A friend of min has googlebot indexing his site and googlebot is requesting both http://www.hisdomain.dk/ht and http://www.hisdomain.dk/otherfolders/ht. He has never had a ht folder on his site.

Why is googlebot asking for this folder?

Regards Kim

Bufferzone,

There has been a post a while ago about GoogleBot trying to pick filename.ht instead of filename.html
I remember that GoogleGuy said he reported the error and that it had been corrected
I can't find it, but if I remember well it should be about 2 months ago.
Maybe someone else will be able to give you the link?

bufferzone, drop an email to googlebot at google.com with the site name and ideally a couple examples from the logs, or second-best the IP address and time. We'll see what's up. Could someone have linked to those non-existing urls from somewhere else on the web?
