The update has not yet started, but I can see changes in the search results for my most desirable keyword. My site has been buried one page deeper.
1. Is it normal that there are changes BEFORE the update?
2. Will these changes stagnant be stagnant till the next month?
3. Will the update bring more changes?
4. Is there a chance that the changes during the update will provide better ranks to my site? (i have added content and gained many links in the past month)
2. No, see #1 above. SERP changes happen.
3. Yes, in general terms. How you are impacted varies
from month to month.
4. Positive changes made to a site tend to show up in thesecond update after the changes were made. changes made in thelast 1-3 weeks, if I understand correctly, are more likely to impact results not in the coming update, but the one which occurs the next time out.
5. Yeah, I know you dinna have a five. if any of the above is way off base, 8-30 peeps smarter than me will chime in to tell ya I'm off my noodle.
