Site moved to UK hosting to appear in Google.co.uk filtered results

How long before it starts showing up ...?

Our .com site did not appear on Google.co.uk's UK filtered results, as it was hosted in the US. So, to achieve this, we have now moved the site to a new UK host a couple of days ago. Any idea how long it would be before Google recognises the new nameservers and starts showing our site in UK filtered results at Google.co.uk.

It's been a while since I moved a site, but I would expect everything from a few days to 2 months.

One of my UK-specific sites is hosted in the UK, but on a a .org address. Months later, it still doesn't show in the UK-specific search.

I have a .info domain and google has generally recognised it as a uk domain because of the hosting. It seemed to do that very quickly. There have been blips but they are generally spot on. The problem is with other engines such as AOL and Yahoo who use Google results but filter out any domain which doesn't end .uk
This is intensely irritating.

When I changed hosting to Ireland, it took G 6 weeks to first find and then list them in the "pages from Ireland" category.
Also noticed that new pages picked up by Freshbot will only appear in the PfI category at the next update.

You are sure the hosting is really in the UK? Many hosters are secretely reselling US space.

As far as I know. It's not a *huge* problem for me, though, as Google.co.uk still defaults the search to the .com database (something I don't think I'll ever understand).
