I think "link:" does not show all links.

When I use it on my web site with pagerank 5 it says there are 24 linking to it, of which it only shows 12.

This web page is about my software aplication.

However if I search google using the name of my software application, I find there are many other web pages, indexed by google, that link to www.mydomain.com . However most of these web sites do not appear when I search "link:www.mydomain.com"

If they link to me and are indexed by google, do they improve my pagerank, even if they do not appear in "link:www.mydomain.com"?

How can I guess which links improve my pagerank if "link:" does not work?

If they are not redirects but straignt html links they should count. Remember that pages with less than a PR of 4 don't show in your backlimks, but do count.

Thanks,

Now at least I know they count, but still do not know how many of them there are that improve my pagerank by linking to me, because they do not show at "link:".

I have a number of direct links from 4 and 5's that don't show up. Yesterday, one of my sites disappeared from the directory entirely. Looks like I've fallen foul of that random number generator that pretends to be an alogorithm.
